Feeling restless. Excited. Renewed. That’s how I get at this time of year, I guess. Winter has not gotten the best of me! Instead, I’ve learned to lean into it!
Yes! You heard me right! I’m not complaining! It’s too cold, too much snow, too little snow, too icy, too hot, too cold, too much rain, etc etc. (You get the picture)
Instead, I’m in a place in my life to feel gratitude. That I am here to see, feel the cold, and rain and heat and snow and ice! Being here to simply experience life and all it has to offer.
When my boys were young, I used to begin our days going into their room saying “It’s a beautiful day to be alive!” I’ve never stopped saying or believing that!
With that said, as I gaze out my window at the pine trees and snow filled woodlands, I see new life and wonder.
Why, do I see wonder, you may wonder? Because right at this moment, I am developing a new summer program of wonderful stories to share with the many children I will be seeing this upcoming summer at my library programs across Wisconsin. And, to see the looks of wonder on their sweet faces as they listen to the WONDER OF STORY…well, it just doesn’t get any better!
